Mundi is Latin for the World, or Being in the World.

We are all spiritual beings sojourning in this material world, inhabiting our bodies as vehicles. While we are in this world, we are subject to its forces, limitations, and requirements. This Hexikon explores some of the important aspects and symbolism of life in this world.

The House is the symbol of your life.

It represents your sphere of influence in the world, both physical, emotional, and intellectual. It is your memories.

Above the House are Golden Keys, signifying the Wisdom gained through life. Below the House is a keyhole, symbolizing the secrets and forgotten things in life.

The fabric that connects our lives is Time.

Our lives pulse with the rhythyms of Time: the cycles of the sun, moon, and planets. The large cycles of nature teach us lessons about the smaller patterns of our lives.

As above, so below.

On this earth, we all suffer the curse of Adam.

Our lives are bound and defined by Work. The star above represents the glory and achievement of labor. Below,
the prison window reminds us that we are captive to the necessity of Work.

Work should always be balanced with Play.

Through Play, we let go of our cares and embrace the joy of surprise and serendipity. We engage with the world in a joyful way, and dance with the here and now.

Unsought-for, Gifts come to us from the world, bringing joy and love, disappointment and sadness. Some Gifts may seem wrong at first, but turn out to be a blessing in disguise. Gifts of all kinds remind us that we are not in control of our lives, but must accept both the good and the bad.

In every life, there are storms.

Illness, tragedy, and loss are storms that ravage our Houses in this world. The Houses that can best weather the storms of life are the Houses that have firm foundations.
